Some general words before I start this: Our guild has never been and will never be a professional raiding guild, we are a group of people who meet online to play a game together and have fun;
if you think you should be in a pro-guild with only pro-gamers, our guild is not what u search;
1) general guild-rules:
a) guild chat: we don´t swear at each other in a serious way, we make no serious racist, sexist or in another way insulting comments
b) we treat everyone like a part of the guild, no matter what rank, what age, what sex etc. he/she is
c) we don´t call ppl noobs, fail etc. in a serious way
d) joking in guild chat is ofc not forbidden and is for sure wanted, but in a way everyone can laugh about it and no one feels insulted
2) general raiding-rules:
You listen to the Raid Leader, Assistants and Officers and do what you are told.
a) we use the raid manager to plan and organize raids, you sign in for a raid if you want to join;
b) you check gear requirements in the internet or ask in our forum before you sign in; being signed doesn´t automatically mean you have a save spot; please don´t be pissed if we can´t take you because we need more healers/tanks/ranged/melee or your gear is not good enough for the specific raid;
c) if you sign for a raid, you are sure you can be there with us for 4 hours without having to leave suddenly or afk in the middle of it; if you can´t stay 4 h or don´t know for sure, you write it as a comment in raid manager and we decide if we take you or not;
d) please prepare for the raid before invites start, not afterwards; this means you read a bit about tactics, for example on
www.bosskillers.com or any other website and you bring food, have gold for repairs and reagents for buffs;
e) as soon as you are in the raid group, you normally stay there, no BGs or questing etc.; if you have to leave for some mins, you say so and ask if it´s ok;
f) in the raid you listen to the raid-leader, officers or anyone else who tells tactics or assigns buffs etc.; you do what you are told to do; ofc you can suggest something else if you think it helps;
you don´t ask for buffs all the time; here is how we normally do it: we invite everyone (preferably 30 mins before we want to start the raid, check the invite time in raid manager), we arrange groups and summon people, then we go inside;
now we explain some short tactics if needed or clear general things; you are still not buffed and that´s how it is supposed to be; if you don´t understand the tactics, don´t be shy, whisper an officer or ask your question in raid-chat;
if you don´t understand a tactic at all and realize this when you read about it on bosskillers etc., use our forum to ask, everyone should be there;
now that everything is clear (hopefully
), we tell that we start buffing;
if after we all buffed, you think you are missing a buff, now is the time to ask
.
g) while we fight, we are focussing on the fight, we don´t talk all the time, go afk or bid on stuff in trading channel; if we are doing fine and there is no need to be 100 % focused, ofc you are free to talk or make a joke as long as you still play well
. as I said, we are not a pro-gamer guild, we won´t ban you from future raids because you didn´t dps for 10 seconds because you had to shoot a joke rather than a frostbolt
.
h) throughout the whole raid, we don´t swear at each other, we don´t blame anyone for making a mistake, we don´t tell someone he/she fails, we don´t say "we fail", we don´t say "wipe" while some ppl are still struggling in the fight etc.; we are not sarcastic about others, we are not behaving like smart asses and don´t tell others how to do their job;
all in all we behave like a group of normal ppl who play together to have fun, because this is what our guild wants to be like;
-> if you don´t behave according to these rules, there might/will be some punishment - you might just get a warning, lose some points (depending on what you did from 1-whatever), or even get kicked from the raid group, be replaced and/or banned from future raids;
2.1) Creating Raids/being Raid Leader: if you want to create raids on your own and use the raid planner for it, you don´t tell people they don´t have the right gear or anything similar if that´s not true;
Not liking ppl or planning to fill spots with your friends is not a reason for such behavior.
It´s also not a reason to leave someone out because he/she might roll on the same item you want.
If you think these 2 rules suck, please stop creating raids or look for a new guild.
3) looting:
a) while we are in GroupLoot-mode: MS - need, OS - greed, pass on everything else. no DE rolls
if you roll need on an item you don´t need for your MS, this means you lose 20 points;
if you roll greed for an item you can´t use, you lose 10 points;
if it´s something else, officers/raid leaders decide what happens;
PLUS: in all cases, you lose the right to roll on any more loot during the current raid.
b) ML-mode: listen to announcements; if you want to use points, say so just before you roll in raidchat - for example you say "points", then you roll, now you are patient and wait
;
there are no fun-rolls while looting, you lose 5 points for each fun-roll;
please also reduce talking to a minimum while looting, it helps to speed up the process;
while in ML-mode, you roll only for what is announced: mainspec, offspec, you only roll for DE if you are enchanter at this moment;
if we ask ppl to respec for raids, they still roll for their mainspec, but their rolls for offspec (= current spec in the raid) has priotity over others´ rolls.
now all these rules might sound bad or you think I gotta play boss, but they are not there to make us officers feel powerful or great because we can punish players; you can believe me, our favorite raid is when there are no incidents/punishments at all;
the rules are only there to give everyone a fair chance to have fun raiding with us and also a fair chance to win items;
now go sign in for our next raid that fits your gear and enjoy the game with us
.
P.S. always bring some coffee and cake for herrsy
if you don´t like how we raid, please think about searching a new group to raid with or even a new guild;
